Dark mode Use a low-light reading theme. Large Arabic Make Arabic text more prominent. Pictures on the home screen Show the home screen as cards with artwork. Turn off for a plain list, which is lighter on older phones.

Artwork animation Gentle light and limited movement, balanced for everyday devices. Your device’s reduced motion setting is on. Artwork stays still; your choice is saved.

Tajweed colouring Colour the Arabic by recitation rule.

Reading mode Pages turn twenty ayahs at a time. Continuous scrolls the whole surah.

Reciter Used for the ayah-by-ayah player.

Word by word Show each word with its meaning, and tap any word to hear it. Tajweed colouring is not shown in this mode. Follow the recitation Scroll to each ayah as it is recited, and keep the screen awake while it plays. Turn off to listen with the screen locked.

Offline Quran Surahs are saved as you read them. Download everything to read with no connection. Recitation audio downloads per surah, from the reader.

Calculation method Sets the Fajr/Isha angles used to compute your prayer times.

High latitude Above about 48° the sun does not always reach the Fajr and Isha angles. This chooses how those are estimated.

Asr calculation Hanafi uses a longer shadow length, so Asr falls later.

Prayer reminders Reminders for morning and evening adhkar, worked out on your phone -- no account, and nothing sent anywhere. Only fires while this app/tab is open (even in the background); a fully closed app or browser can't reliably notify you on the web, this is a platform limit, not a bug here.

Notifications are not supported in this browser.

Notifications are blocked for this site -- allow them in your browser's site settings to use reminders.

Set your location on the Prayer Times or Qibla tab first so reminders know when to fire.

Prayer times Notify at Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. Morning adhkar 15 minutes after Fajr. Evening adhkar 15 minutes after Asr.
